May 30th, 2006 - Don't forget that the UMP Summernationals are coming to Poplar Bluff Speedway on Friday, June 30th. The event pays $10,000 to win for UMP Summer Nationals and will be a UMP Late Model Points Event. Open Wheel Modifieds will be in action for $850 to win. Pure Streets will be in action for $550 to win. Super Street, Dward/Modlite, and Cruisers will also all be in action.
May 24th, 2006 - Poplar Bluff Speedway will award UMP National Late Model points on Tuesday, June 6th for Nascar Night Featuring Kenny Wallace and paying $1,500 to win for Super Late Models and on Friday, June 30th for the UMP Summernationals event paying $10,000 to win for Super Late Models.
May 21st, 2006 - Inclement weather approaching the track during intermission forced the staff at PBS to cancel the remainder of the program this past Saturday night. The heat races were complete. Double features will be run on Saturday, June 10th for all 6 classes on "Briggs & Stratton Night". Since the program had reached intermission with all heat races complete no rainchecks were issued. Ticket stubs and armbands will not be honored on the June 10th program. Regular admission and pit prices will be in effect for the Double Features on June 10th.

May 15th, 2006 - Results from Saturday night's weekly program are now posted. Please note that on May 20th and June 6th, Super Late Models WILL receive UMP National Points.
May 10th, 2006 - Due to overwhelming demand from drivers, the Super Late Models will be run on this weekend's program. This week's turnout will be used to gage the future of the division at PBS. The minimum purse will be $1,000 to win and $100 to start. If there are more than 14 cars, the purse will be increased per the 2006 Payscale. U.M.P. National Late Model points.
May 5th, 2006 - Tonight's racing program has been rained out. We will be back in action next Saturday, May 13th with a Weekly Racing Series Event.
May 4th, 2006 - Poplar Bluff Speedway regrets to announce that Super Late Models have been removed from the weekly program. Due to consistantly low turnouts, PBS was left with no other choice. PBS will still run Super Late Models on Kenny Wallace & Kenny Schrader Night on Tuesday, June 6th and for the UMP Summernationals on Friday, June 30th. Both nights will be UMP Point events.
May 2nd, 2006 - This weekend will mark a big happening at the Poplar Bluff Speedway. On Friday night, there will be a big "Hot Farm" Truck-Tractor Pull conducted by Bootheel Tractor Pullers & Hillbilly Truck Pullers. The event gets underway at 7 pm. For more information CLICK HERE.
On Saturday night, a Weekly Racing Series Event will be held. Make plans to be in attendance for these two huge nights of Motorsports action.

April 29th, 2006 - Results from the ASCS Sprint Cars on Friday night are now posted.
April 25th, 2006 - Due to the increased support from the Dwarf-Modlite class, the payout has been increased. You can view it by Clicking Here.
April 23rd, 2006 - Results from Saturday night are now posted. The latest Points are also now posted. The ASCS National Sprint Car Tour will invade on Friday, April 28th. This will be a non-points event for all support classes. Modifieds will compete for $1,000 To Win and Pure Streets will compete for $500 to win. Adult grandstand admission is $15 with children 6-11 admitted for $7, and 5 and under free. Pit admission is $30. This will be a huge event, so make plans to be here.
April 20th, 2006 - This Saturday's program is still on go and the weather looks great. The Photos page has been updated.
April 17th, 2006 - Results from Saturday night are now posted. A Weekly Racing Series Event is on tap for this Saturday night, April 22nd and points will also start this week.
April 8th, 2006 - The races for Saturday, April 8th are rained out. Poplar Bluff Speedway will return to action next Saturday, April 15th with a Weekly Racing Series event.

March 31st, 2006 - Tonight we had a great practice at Poplar Bluff Speedway. All of the rain missed us, and we had an extremely smooth race track. Tomorrow night's TUSA Dwarf Car event paying $2,000 To Win should be incredible. Don't forget that all local classes will be in action as well.

February 9th, 2006 - A new section has been launched on the site. It is called Q&A with Shon, and it allows racers and fans to ask the owner, Shon Stuart a question. Questions posted in the section will be answered each Sunday.

Announcement: 2006 Rule Changes
Late Model
- Late Models will be UMP Sanctioned for the 2006 season, and will go by all UMP rules. The Late Models are the ONLY class sanctioned by UMP.
Modified
- Modifieds will continue to not be IMCA sanctioned (IMCA rules apply though), and there will still be no motor claim.
- The American Racer G60 tire and the Hoosier IMCA Stamped Tire will be the only allowed tires. Tires may be be grooved or siped.
Pure Street
- Floater Rear Ends are allowed.
